What’s the difference between the Zi/O Excel Basketball and the Zi/O Basketball?

The excel is supposed to be more for outdoor. But they both play the same. Have to say though this ball while it says outdoor will lose its grip in a month or two. For street ball it picks up dirt like crazy and you will lose your handles on almost anything but a simple layup.

What does composite leather mean?

Composite leather means it’s made from leather fibers. I think it’s analogous to wood particle board. The feel is pretty tacky; feels less synthetic and more like true leather.

Love this ball. It will wear out eventually if used outdoors. I can’t say enough how this I/O ball feels like the game balls used indoors. I bought two, my son keeps one for practice outdoors in the driveway, the other to take to school to use in the gym.

Great buy. I bought two for two handed drills. Daughter loves them. Seems like they are good quality. I had to inflate them. No biggie. I have a small hand pump. With a ball pin you can also go to the gas station. Some of the newer stations have a dial to set inflation pressure. Set to highest printed on your ball and inflate. Becareful or poof. Check with your local school or coach to see what size ball your kids grade uses. I went online to the school district website and found it. Price was right and delivered to my door.
